Program Overview
The Podiatry residency training program at UTHSCSA has been a fully integrated program within a state funded academic health science center for 50 years. We are a Division of the Department of Orthopaedics. We are a growing program with more than twenty clinical faculty. Primary locations for training are the University of Texas Health, University Health System, South Texas Veterans Health Care System, and private hospitals/surgery centers. Training involves an extensive combination of inpatient and outpatient services with excellent surgical training in limb salvage, reconstructive foot and ankle, trauma and elective cases. Our focus is to train well rounded podiatry medical physicians. Visit our Website https://lsom.uthscsa.edu/orthopaedics/podiatric-medicine/education/residency/
