Program Overview
New PMSR/RRA diverse clinical and didactic training residency w/ non-podiatry 1 month med/surg rotations in first 18 months, followed by 18 months of podiatric clinic/office and F&A surgery. Affiliates provide additional podiatric surgery and rotations in diabetes/endocrinology, dermatology and podiatry. Wound care training at the Advanced Wound Care Center. Residents manage their own OPD practice w/ direction of attending podiatry faculty. One of only 2 podiatry residencies in central NY. A vehicle is required. St. Elizabeth MC is a private, 201-bed, Level III trauma, acute care hospital, in the Mohawk Valley Health System. New state-of-the-art, 373 bed Wynn Hosp to open Fall 2023, will consolidate services and Depts of 3 area hospitals, incl. SEMC. New residency in EM being developed to augment longstanding Fam Med & Dental and recent Gen Surg, OB/GYN & Psych.
