Program Overview
Saint Joseph Health System offers 2 positions/yr in a PMSR/RRA residency. The pod resident experience offers excellent hands-on surgical training in foot surgery, reconstructive & non-reconstructive rearfoot surgery, limb salvage and trauma. The PGY1 is expected to participate in 600+ procedures; PGY2 is expected to participate in 800+ procedures. Vascular, general and ortho surgeons are highly receptive to podiatry residents and welcome their participation in surgeries. Residents cover cases at 4 area hospitals, 4 ambulatory surgery centers and responsible for in-house care of patients at Saint Joseph Health System. Residents participate in Journal Club, Radiology Rounds, ACFAS Surg Skills Course, External Fixation In-services, APMA Online Lecture Service, Noon Lectures, Cadaver Labs & Reg Conferences.
