Residents in our program benefit from a rich education environment, collaborating with expert medical and surgical specialists across multiple healthcare facilities within Rochester Regional Health. This multidisciplinary approach enhances both their medical education and clinical practice. Rotations encompass a wide array of disciplines, including internal medicine, emergency medicine, anesthesiology, wound care, radiology, endocrinology, infectious disease, behavioral sciences, pathology, and laboratory medicine.
In addition to extensive training in podiatric medicine and surgery, residents also participate in rotations with orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, general surgery, and plastic surgery. Our program also provides additional credentialing in reconstructive rear-foot and ankle surgery, focusing on a spectrum of podiatric care from fundamental clinical experiences to advanced reconstructive procedures. These diverse experiences ensure a comprehensive preparation for a successful career.
