Program Overview
LECOM Health Millcreek Community Hospital is a teaching hospital associated with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine that offers 3 PMSR/RRA positions per year. The program offers a balance of hospital rounds, surgery, office, and wound clinic. Residents become proficient in forefoot and rearfoot procedures including diabetic limb salvage. Education is a premiere asset of the program with weekly didactic meetings, monthly journal clubs, and a resident run clinic. Residents are required to produce one publication-ready research study yearly. Residents also are required to obtain a Masters of Science Degree in Medical Education, that is paid for by the hospital. Residents experience extensive hands on clinical and surgical training that exceeds CPME requirements.
