To provide the resident (originating from any podiatry school) with the opportunity to receive an excellent comprehensive clinical and surgical training experience preparing them for all that they will encounter in private practice.

Program Overview
Keralty Hospital (Formerly Westchester General Hospital) is a 125-bed acute care hospital serving the Miami community since 1966. As of 2022, with the new Keralty Administration the entire hospital has been renovated along with the technology and its resources. Training resources available include North Shore Hospital, outpatient ambulatory surgical centers, outpatient clinics, and private offices. This is a highly academic program with a great deal of responsibility placed upon the residents including an active ER and in-house patient management. Each resident is expected to be fully prepared academically & possess exceptional clinical & surgical knowledge in order to be provided with the opportunity to gain training in surgery of the foot & ankle and be trained in medicine to be a physician. The program focuses on medical, podiatric, and podiatric surgery education among many other areas and not just podiatry. We expect you to carry your duties and responsibilities as a physician ant treat all types of patients without exceptions. It is a highly structured program with high expectations on each resident without exceptions. Our program will expose you to a wide array of training opportunities that will prepare any graduate for the reality of private practice.
