Program Overview
The Kaiser SF Bay Area Foot & Ankle Residency Program is a comprehensive 3-year PMSR/RRA based out of SF, Oakland, and Walnut Creek. It is designed to train future leaders by providing high quality training in all aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery. Residents have a unique opportunity to see a high volume of complex foot and ankle pathology in large multidisciplinary settings. 1st year of training consists of various internship rotations as well as an introduction to podiatric medicine and surgery. During the 2nd and 3rd years of training, residents complete four month rotations in foot and ankle surgery at each site. There is exceptional pathology with emphasis on foot and ankle reconstruction, limb salvage, Charcot reconstruction, pediatrics, and trauma. Residents take primary call for all foot and ankle emergencies, as well as serve as the general orthopedic call when in San Francisco.
