Program Overview
A well-rounded program with a heavy emphasis on reconstructive surgery and trauma of the foot and ankle. The program is accredited as a PMSR/RRA by CPME, with 5/5/5 positions. Expansion has occurred to all CarePoint Healthcare facilities including Christ Hospital and Bayonne Medical Center. Extensive ED call and exposure at multiple acute care facilities. Excellent outside rotations and a great working relationship with the general medical staff. Our residents are the only surgical residents within the healthcare system other than General Surgery. We have comprehensive academics with lecture series, board preparation, workshops and journal clubs to facilitate resident learning. Large CME stipend. Bi-weekly radiology grand rounds of all interesting cases. The residents are credentialed at four acute care hospitals allowing for expansive clinical exposure.
