Program Overview
VASF is a training institution affiliated with the University of California SF and is a high-powered residency which represents the pinnacle of podiatric training in the Bay Area. The program utilizes training resources at VASF, UCSF, and SFGH. Additional experiences include UCSF Pediatric Ortho, UCSF Center for Limb Preservation, & Mission Peak Orthopedics (private practice), and new addition of Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento with Dr. Le. This year we have added Sequoia Hospital for surgical cases as well as Dr. Tom Chang in Healdsburg Hospital. Training encompasses all areas of foot and ankle surgery including trauma, pediatrics, limb salvage, advanced wound care and private practice experience. You will work side-by-side with the top surgical residents in the country from UCSF. New Rotation added Kaiser South Sacramento. We have revamped out Academic program to include many saw bone workshops and cadaver workshops.
