Program Overview
Our clinics perform most aspects of podiatric medicine and surgery from wound care to reconstructive surgery. We see a fair amount of trauma in addition to elective podiatric surgeries. Podiatry Service at this VA is a direct-admit service and we are involved in all phases of patient care, we have OR time on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays, not to mention surgery with 5 private practice attendings throughout the week out in town. We also have an affiliation with Jackson Hospital for vascular surgery, general surgery, and wound care center rotations. Montgomery has a very affordable cost of living and is close to Atlanta (2 hours), the Gulf beaches (3 hours) and Nashville (4 hours). We currently have one rearfoot (PMSR-RRA) and one forefoot (PMSR) position available. Application is pending for reclassification of the PMSR to RRA.
