Program Overview
Well rounded PMSR/RRA Program in the heart of Huntington, NY. Huntington Hospital is a member of Northwell Health System and is an area trauma center and has extensive lecture series and research opportunities with access to Hofstra Medical School and Feinstein Institute for research. The program offers extensive training in Forefoot/Rearfoot surgery including elective foot surgery, diabetic wound care and limb preservation, trauma and an emphasis on reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery. There is a strong Orthopedic relationship which includes a diverse rotation with a Orthopedic Foot and Ankle specialist at Huntington Hospital. The clinical experiences and rotations are Huntington Hospital based with minimal travel to Dolan Family Health Center for Podiatry Clinic, and North Queens Surgical Center for ambulatory surgeries. Program has a two spot two year Fellowship in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at our Wound Care Center located in Huntington Hospital. The fellows work Plastics, General Surgery, Vascular, and Podiatry.
