Program Overview
The PMSR with added RRA program offers the resident the medical, biomechanical and surgical skills necessary to treat the foot and ankle. The first year concentrates on the medical and biomechanical management of the foot and ankle with a concentration in diabetic and high risk limb preservation. The second and third years offer the resident a wide variety of elective surgical opportunities in surrounding community hospitals and surgical centers. There is a didactic lecture series with presentations and surgical workshops. The residents integrate into several training experiences with the medical residents from the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical School on the University Service. The facility offers its employees both a fully equipped fitness center and a convenient day care center on the premises.
