Program Overview
The Podiatry residency training program at UTHSCSA has been a fully integrated program within a state funded academic health science center for 50 years. We are a Division of the Department of Orthopaedics. We are a growing program with more than twenty clinical faculty. Primary locations for training are the University of Texas Health, University Health System, South Texas Veterans Health Care System, and private hospitals/surgery centers. Training involves an extensive combination of inpatient and outpatient services with excellent surgical training in limb salvage, reconstructive foot and ankle, trauma and elective cases.
