Program Overview
The Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis Podiatric Surgical Residency program is a well-rounded surgical program providing an outstanding post-graduate podiatric medical school educational experience. The hospital has a high volume of inpatient care, including substantial diabetic limb salvage. The outpatient surgical experience provides exposure to all types of foot, reconstructive foot, and ankle surgeries. Additionally, the opportunities for trauma, total replacement/arthroplasty, and pediatrics are substantial. The residency program consists of four residents per year with PMSR/RRA certification. The monthly academic calendar includes Radiology Rounds, Morbidity and Mortality, Journal Club, Board Review, Cadaver Lab, ACFAS Scientific Literature Reviews, and Quarterly Grand Rounds. We work hard to create a safe learning environment for our residents and students.
