Program Overview
UF Health- Jacksonville is a teaching arm of the University of Florida College of Medicine and the only Level 1 trauma center serving North Florida and South Georgia. Our program is a 36-month PMSR/RRA with an emphasis on surgery and academics. Residents will gain extensive training in forefoot, rearfoot, ankle reconstruction, arthroscopy, total joint replacement, and sports medicine. We utilize both traditional and cutting edge, innovative approaches to rearfoot and forefoot surgery. Additional rotations include 3 months with the Orthopedic Trauma team and 17 months at Veterans Affairs. Residents are involved in all aspects of patient care, including pre-operative workup and post-operative follow up. The core of the academic training at UF Health consists of weekly pre- and post-operative conference and didactics, along with monthly surgical workshops/labs.
