Program Overview
HCMC offers a three year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency program with Rearfoot Reconstructive and Ankle Surgery (PMSR/RRA). The residency will take 2 residents per year. Residents have been selected from many podiatric medical schools. Student externs who function well obviously have an advantage in the application process. The overall goal of the training program is to facilitate the acquisition of the essential training resources required to sit for board qualification in Foot Surgery as well as RRA Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). Minnesota’s longest running and largest residency program is based at HCMC, a Level I Trauma Center, located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. The program is affiliated with other large multi-specialty clinics and hospitals in the Twin Cities area to offer a diverse patient population.
