This change is made in the program&#8217;s CASPR NMS account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"divider divider1\" style='margin:15px 0 15px 0 !important;'><\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"CRIP\">Program Registration for the 2025 CASPR Residency Application and Match<\/h3>\n<p>To register for the current CASPR cycle, programs must complete registration. Registration consists of three steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0Signature and return of the current cycle <strong>Institutional Agreement<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0Update of <strong>program contact information and directory information<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0<strong>Payment of Fees<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>AAPM accepts payment by credit card, ACH\/Wire Transfer, or check. <strong>Credit card and ACH\/Wire payments are preferred.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once your program has completed steps 1 and 2, National Matching Service (NMS) is notified that the program is eligible to create their account in the CASPR NMS system which opens on July 2. Programs receive an email notification once the site opens.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"button custom large button mb-6\" href=\"https:\/\/aacpm.org\/caspr-registration-payment-form\/\">TO REGISTER FOR THE 2025 CASPR MATCH<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you have questions, send an email detailing your concern to <a href=\"mailto:casprweb@aacpm.org\">casprweb@aacpm.org<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"divider divider1\" style='margin:15px 0 15px 0 !important;'><\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"CRIP\">CRIP<\/h3>\n<p>The Centralized Residency Interview Program (CRIP) is a combined interview event for residency candidates and residency program selection committees. Over 6 days, the majority of CASPR residency programs attend to interview applicants. CRIP is divided into two sections, in order to accommodate all the residency programs. CRIP saves time and money for both applicants and programs.<\/p>\n<p>The 2025 CRIP event is January 9-14, 2025 at the Embassy Suites in ROSEMONT, IL.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Section 1 is January 9-11 for &#8220;East&#8221; programs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Section 2 is January 12-14 for &#8220;West&#8221; programs.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"divider divider1\" style='margin:15px 0 15px 0 !important;'><\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"AboutTheMatch\">About the Match<\/h3>\n<p>CASPR uses a mathematical algorithm to place applicants into residency positions.\u00a0Research on the algorithm was the basis for awarding the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nobelprize.org\/prizes\/economic-sciences\/2012\/summary\/\">2012 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences<\/a>.[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"video-embed  wpb_content_element\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Matching Algorithm - Explained\" width=\"1161\" height=\"653\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kVTwXNawpbk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><div class=\"divider divider1\" style='margin:15px 0 15px 0 !important;'><\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"AboutMatchPhaseII\">About Match Phase II (MP II)<\/h3>\n<p>After the match algorithm is run, any unfilled positions are offered to unmatched applicants in a second match we call Match Phase II (MP II).<\/p>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>Unmatched applicants and unfilled programs a period of several days to learn more about each other and to conduct interviews. At the conclusion of this period, unmatched applicants submit a new \u201crank-order list\u201d of unfilled programs. The rank-order list details the unfilled programs where the applicant wishes to train, ranked in his\/her order of preference. Each residency program with unfilled positions also submits a MP II rank-order list, indicating a list of unmatched applicants the program wishes to train, ranked in the program\u2019s order of preference. The process is blinded so that neither applicants nor residency programs see the other\u2019s list.
