Program Overview
This program is 3 years long and leads to rearfoot and ankle reconstruction added credential for 3 out of 4 spots. We will be applying to change all positions to RRA. St. Barnabas Hospital is a regional trauma and stroke center. It repeatedly affords residents unparalleled experience with orthopedic injuries, diabetic foot infection cases, wound care and clinics. Residents repeatedly scrub total joint replacement, arthroscopy as well as poly-trauma injuries of long bones. The multispecialty approach taught at the hospital is also a great experience where residents work closely with infectious disease, vascular, internal medicine and general surgery teams. Further, residents learn excellent medical management skills as they manage orthopedic and podiatry patients under their service in-house. The podiatry clinics see approximately 10,000 patients per year. The emergency room represents about 2,000 visits per year. The program has an outstandi
