Program Overview
Three Year PMSR/RRA surgical program emphasizing inter-disciplinary, active resident involvement, community based practice. All facets of foot and ankle surgery and diabetic foot care and wound care. Exposure to orthopedic cases as well as all other allopathic specialties. Several strengths of the program are extensive hands-on training in foot and ankle surgery, wound care exposure, well balanced inpatient podiatric service, Strong relationship with all specialties, and monthly didactics. . Good case numbers and diversity, numbers are mainly met by second year. Excellent teaching facility with strong involvement by the residents. Bi-monthly inhouse cadaver dissection workshops and monthly workshops related to internal and external fixation, plastic surgery, suture labs, journal club, radiology rounds and wound care.
